February 2012: Apartment prices soar
As the strong demand for property continued in February 2012, the EPX total index climbed to a new
record high. A closer look at the individual indices does, however, reveal a differentiated pattern of
development. Apartment prices are curving steeply upwards, whereas the value appreciation of new
single-family and two-family homes is stabilising. By contrast, prices for existing single-family and twofamily homes weakened slightly.
